L5000Y Foundation Mission Statement Review Parameters: How to focus grant funds and invest resources most responsibly. This foundation seeks to inform people and put things in their proper perspective.
How can we work in partnership with educators, governments, and businesses? Premise: the world be a better place to live in if we all shared a trusted fact-based historical model of how we got to where we are! There is a great deal of mistrust in our governments, growing geo-political unrest, growing religious intolerance, and now in our financial institutions. L5000Y Mankind History and Global Roadmaps will succeed best when a critical mass of educators begin teaching their students the BIG PICTURE (L5000Y Mankind History + Global Roadmaps) along with their normal course curriculums. Currently, each state in USA has its own educati0on board agencies that review and select which teaching materials are appropriate for their districts and states. Furthermore, each country in the world has its own board agencies that review and select which teaching materials are appropriate. The L5000Y Foundation is seeking the resources to facilitate acceptance of using a more trusted history model around the world. What need does this meet? What does not exist - is a simple accurate summary picture, roadmap, timeline of mankind’s history over the past 5000 years coupled with a supporting global world map that shows where events occurred and cultures flourished. Most children and many adults are primarily visual learners. Finding a way to distill history down to a meaningful visual time-line format, where all essential elements can be readily understood, provides great value in helping kids to assimilate and put historical facts into a more rational accurate model. Typically, a USA student grows up with the belief that important history begins with Columbus discovering the Americas, and/or the Pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock. Most high school and even college graduates have a poor understanding of our USA history, Western civilization history, Eastern civilization history, and the history of ancient empires such as Sumerian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, etc. They learn about history - peace meal - fragmented - in dribs and drabs - and never in the context of an accurate visual BIG PICTURE. What affects the most people? The L5000Y Roadmap series includes Mankind Map, Global Map, Countries & Empires Map, and L5000Y Question & Answers Game. The L5000Y history maps are a set of interactive learning tools that provide an accurate historical and impartial perspective of mankind’s journey over last 5000 years. Major cultures, civilizations, empires, places, religions, inventions, milestones, and individuals are shown in order they appeared and thrived on planet earth. Scientific discoveries, thinking, and mankind’s under-standing will continue to evolve. This history map will also continue to evolve in subsequent releases to correct any inadvertent errors or omissions of fact. We believe that the entire world would benefit by sharing a common fact basic view of mankind’s journey over the past 5000 years. From understanding and factual awareness comes enlightenment. Might we all benefit by sharing a common and trusted view of history? Where can we make the greatest change? Provide financial and organizational support to L5000Y Mankind History Foundation. What is the potential of everyone in the world having access to an accurate and trusted summary time-line of major cultures, civilizations, empires, places, religions, inventions, milestones, and individuals? What if a common, trusted roadmap of Mankind History + Global History Map can be made readily available free to every citizen in the world who has internet access? What if this mankind history roadmap and global geographical map were also interactive learning tools that could be used at home, schools, and businesses? Most of the text boxes and test words have imbedded links to trusted supporting web sites (i.e. wikipedia, etc., etc.) How can we harness innovative solutions and technologies? From their very inception, both L5000Y Mankind History Map and Global Map were based on three guiding principles: 1-Simplicy, 2-Honesty, 3-Impartiality. We are able to accomplish this goal using readily available technology such as the internet, ms-word, adobe pdf files to create an innovative world-wide education site. Additionally we can incorporate an interactive Question + Answers Teaching Games. These history roadmaps are available to the public in many forms. They can be printed in notebook form (folded 11”X 17”), printed in wall mounted size (2’x 4’ or 4’x 6’), or computer projected on a wall screen. L5000Y History FOUNDATION will operate under these guidelines: - self perpetuating and able to thrive on it's own merits
- maintain highest level of integrity when presenting history - always strive to maintain impartiality - continue to place high priority on improving presentation materials - stay above reproach and avoid misinformation at all costs - make roadmaps available in many world wide languages - incorporate global feedback capabilities to improve accuracy - remain free to view on world wide web - offer printed roadmaps paper and laminated (folds to 11" x 17") - offer printed roadmaps wall map size (2 feet by 3 feet and 4' x 6’) - supports numerous links "key words" to other confirming web sites - continue to evolve in an open honest public forum - welcome individuals and public institutions to challenge it's content - remain current based on best evidence, science, and knowledge - update history facts and text boxes as new evidence mandates L5000Y History Foundation will eventually remain independent and totally separate from company called Shrinking your Thinking LLC (SYT™). |
